Yes it is hot enough to jump in! I think we are all dealing with the heat. All week in the 100's here in Kansas. Not one to normally complain...we are headed out all week to a local baseball tournament for the middle son. What, you think it might be dangerous to play in this temperature? You must be an over protective mom. At least that is what they told me when I called to check their heat policy. Wish me luck...I might have to jump in after all.
June came and went just like my chosen nursery rhyme, Hickory Dickory Dock. Sweet little mouse has his glittered tail swirling out the side. Vintage covered button is the dial to the clock in the middle. I popped the mouse off the clock with pop dots. There is an old bingo marker hanging from the ribbon. Lots and lots of scraps are being used at this point.
Not much can be used on the backs any longer. Simple and dated.
July feels like this nursery rhyme to me. The Old Woman that lived in the shoe. Does any one else feel like their house is this crazy in July with kids running in and out? Sweet little image from an old paper doll set. I made a tiny clothes line at the top because laundry never ends...
Here she is...slaving over a hot pot. It seemed like the only nice thing to do. To give her a break and place her on the back.
These were so much fun to do. I have missed my paper crafting. I have two sets of theses. One for my self and one for my fabulous partner Betty from She's Sew Pretty. Enjoy your week and for heavens sake stay cool!
Lovely little tags. Good lick with your sons game i would worry about the heat to. Its wet here again and to think its our summer time, have a lovely week, dee x
ReplyDeleteHey Girlfriend,
ReplyDeleteI so wish I had the time to participate in this tag swap, especially with you in it. Your tags are to die for cute. BTW, thanks for always having such cute graphics at the top of your postings. I bet you're like me and have millions of them to choose from.
Hugs,
Meri
We've finally managed to get your heat-wave in West MI. It's been non-stop pool and sprinklers around here. I've even gotten brave and put on the bathing suit. Your tags are always a delight and inspiration. By the way, I love seeing your image on your sidebar.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute blog you have. As soon as I saw it I knew I HAD to become a Follower.
ReplyDeleteYour tags are SO cute! And I agree with you about the heat and baseball. I went to a Garden Walk yesterday, and felt like I was going to pass out. I can't imagine running around the bases in that heat!
ReplyDeletei grew up in wichita and all of my family is still there. when i got married first my husband got a job in st. louis. oh the humidity! then we came to texas where we have been for the last 28 years. recently when talking to my dad and mom on the phone we have been trying to one up each other on how our heat is the worst! lol. i try to put it all in perspective though as my son is in the army and stationed in iraq. last week wherever he is, (we really don't know), it was 135 degrees and his air conditioner was broken! when i start to complain about the heat i think of eric who spends a good part of the day outside in his acu's.
ReplyDeleteLove, love your tags...super cute!
ReplyDeleteHang in there with the heat, autumn breezes are just around the corner. : )

It's hot here in Pittsburgh this week, too, but not as hot as you're getting. Hope you're staying in where it's cool!
ReplyDeleteYour tags are adorable. I am so far behind but not quitting...I'm doing a major studio clean-up this week and then I'll be able to get back into it.
Go get some more ice for your drink!! :)

Oh Renee! Those are so cute. I love that tiny clothesline!!
ReplyDeleteWe are having a cool summer here. It's only in the 90's this week. I kid you not...that is cool for us! LOL
Renee your tags are so cute. I agree with you about the heat. In Texas it has been like 103 according to my car. I wish I could say we get seasons here. But it is either really super hot or mild cold.

I'm not sure which is worse - your heat or our 'not so summer' 67 degree days here at the moment in Oregon. Looks like you're not letting the heat get in the way of your inspiration! :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Renee! The bloggers in Brazil tend to have special stamps for the blogs I like. It works like this: I put a posting on my blog saying that I am offering the right label to blog, I go to the blog and inform the person who has to stamp it on my blog, one copy is the seal and post it to your blog. So, I mean you have to stamp on my blog, go there to get it.
ReplyDeleteIt is with great affection I offer to you this seal.
Be blessed one week!

Hope you haven't melted yet! I went outside long enough to water the plants and had sweat pouring off me in less than 2 minutes.. I truly feel for you!
