We Love America...and a winner.

Veteran's Day 2011
Finding vintage books with patriotic premises can be easier than you think.  Celebrating the American spirit was something that was taught to children through story books.  This Rand McNally book is no exception.  We Love America is this weeks contribution to Lil Vintage Story Books.

Ride, cowboy, ride!

  7. This is so sweet. I have never seen anything like it. Patriotic type books aren't big in Australia I suppose.
The toys page reminds me of the toys for tots Christmas tune.

  8. I love the few patriot children's books that I have picked up over the years for J and T. Both you and Kim K have inspired me to use the vintage books I have for more than just reading. Tori really likes to look and read mine that I adored when I was her age. I don't get to antique or thrift as much as I like...I am really going to have to take a little more time to do things that make me happy!!!

    Many sweet hugs,
    Cindy

  13. What a super sweet book! I love the picture in red, of all the children holding hands. Does this book say who the illustrator is? (Some of the vintage books don't name the artist.)
