Ladies and gentlemen hold on to your hats...I closed on the paperwork for our renovations today. Not without a fight...but the final check has been cut and hopefully it will all be over within a few days. My husband and I will be doing the renovations here for the next couple of years, at least until the sting wears off.
This tiny reno is nearly complete too. (Claire and I have one wall left to paint.) I finished the desk today. Formerly our kitchen table we have done a bit of a shuffle. It took no time to move into the doubled size. A side to sew and a side sketch...
This is the top of an old hutch I backed in vintage nursery wallpaper and painted a grey blue.
Space...oh the space!
I spent a few hours folding and sorting fabric. Loving each piece just as I did when I found it.
Renee, your room is wonderful! You are going to totally enjoy working here, so vibrant! I love all of your vintage finds, nice that you can show them off, Marilyn
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing Renee! I do love all your vintage treasures! I also feel the same way about my vintage linens..

Renee, it is just so perfectly you! That is a great use of the hutch and the wallpaper inside is so sweet. Is that the sewing machine you use or for decoration? I love those old black ones with the gold flourish decoration and would rescue every one I find if I had a place to store them.
ReplyDeleteit looks amazing, my friend. just think of all the fun you'll have creating in your beautiful new space. so, so happy for you.

ReplyDeleteHi Renee,
ReplyDeleteLooking FAB!!! Could you tell me the room size?! I'm thinking about changing this up around here after the holidays and thinking your room is about the size of the one I may "take over"!
Thanks,
deb
Renee, this is JUST how I want my "dream" studio to look - full of FUN and vintage things. I am just in awe over your sweet collections!!! We have some of the same things, only many of mine are packed away to use someday when I have that very special creative room.
