Apologies for an unexpected blogging break. I was called upon to rescue a fifth grade farewell memory book that was missing a volunteer. It became a fire that I almost didn't get put out. Being a person that has trouble with the word NO I am excited to get back to my regularly scheduled programming.
Sweet Miss Meri. Just the kind of friend you long to have growing up. She never asks a thing of you and always sends a smile and encouragement.
She and I regularly send each other little gifts and this one was no exception.
The cutest little nursery appliques and bits. Wait till you see what I do with these.
Little Miss Muffet in impeccable condition and an Irmi!
Nursery flannel and dolly cloths pins. Another project I have cooking.
Chenille Stems...Just like clouds! I see bunnies and shamrocks, baskets and flowers. Thank you Meri for your generosity. Blogging has opened up so many doors that might have stayed closed had I not clicked the buttons.
Take a minute and visit this wonderful artist. Meri's vintage treasures will bring you a smile too.
That's a boxload of happiness! (and a really good friend!)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Miss Meri is about the sweetest thing out there! Her blog is wonderful and she has such a generosity of spirit, a keeper for sure. I feel lucky to consider her a friend. And wow, what a great package that must have been to open!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Julie
Oh how sweet!!
ReplyDeleteThe graphics on the word page are so cute!
She sent you some wonderful things!
Look at those diaper pins!! Boy, those are a thing of the past, aren't they?
Happy Monday!!
Meri is a treasure...I only found her relatively recently and I have really come to love her blog and her art and her sweet personality. I never thought that internet friendships were real until I "met" the ladies that I follow. Your blog is one of my favorites as well. I can only hope to do as well some day with my own.
ReplyDeletePerfectly YOU! All your goodies are just wonderful. Blogging friends are the best. I was tucked in my craft room yesterday afternoon and used several of Miss Meri's vintage Easter images.
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious week ahead!
Meri is sweet and generous and I have been on the receiving end of her gifts myself in the past. I do love what she sent you and can't wait to see what you do with it all.

Oh , you are going to have so much fun creating with those goodies! Sandy is a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know how to say no either. Spirit Wear, Membership, Hospitality, team coordinator, field trip chaperone, Project Graduation, Reading Clubs, Room mother, Brownie badges, Stage Manager, Secretary, Haunted House, Fashion show..... endless list of jobs for the 15 years that my kids were in school and extra curricular activities. Loved doing it, but so glad that era is over.
I think I would have fallen over, if I opened a package containing all of that sweetness, and I have a feeling that there are going to be some really cute things created with it all!
