Mending Monday--Toddler Quilt


Just when I thought my chores were done I realized it was time to switch out the pansies and put in the summer annuals. However, nothing can be as simple as a trip to the nursery. Lawn mowing and trimming ensued.  Clearly, I feel defeated by a lack of time and energy.  Nevertheless, it is Mending Monday and I couldn't miss another post.

I have tried to iron on these images and they do not work any longer so I have gone to the light box method.

This is the other sweet test image.  I think I am more taken by some of these rather than the patterns themselves. They are doll house size.

    Be glad for the southern sun, we won't be planting annuals here for another two weeks! Enjoy the fun of creating color in your yard; it comes once a year and putting in is more fun than weeding later, isn't it?!

    I love that image!! That is how I feel somedays, or everyday!! It reminds me of an "I Love Lucy' episode where Lucy reads a mystery book with Ricky, and gets the black eye!! Oh, how I wish to love in that era for just one week.. would be so fun! The kitty is so cute, with her sweet polka dot apron! Doesn't get any better!! xo Heather

    That little kitten is my favorite. So very sweet. Our weather has been crazy cold in April. I'm so ready to enjoy warm breezes and plantings again. Happy May!

    I love the test images too. I so love your vintage pic with thriller diller on the little book cover. How cute! Doesn't it seem like gardening takes a whole lot more energy than sewing or crafting? Good luck with your flowers.

    Renee, please tell me you have that image framed in your room. I love it...I am going to print it off and frame it. It will remind me of you...so casual...so vintage ...so darn adorable!!

    Planting outside in this humididty
    is so draining!! I am trying to plant tiny scapes that I can view out my windows of the RV. The garden is growing by leaps and bounds...we plant way to much!!!

    That opening picture gave me a big grin. I would sit my bottom down and read a book if I had to do my housework in those high heels, too!!
    You know, I think I have heard there is a pen you can buy to make transfers. If there isn't then somebody needs to invent one.

    Awww, all of these vintage embroidery patterns are sooo cute. My favorite, of course, is the kitty cat. Yard work is never done. I haven't even done half of what I need to do outside this year. I got flowers potted, but the gardens have not been edged and remulched yet.
