Mending Monday brings a clothes pin bag. Found neatly folded in the pages of the pattern stack.
I am once again struck by the few sentences that create the primitive patterns of the past. As I can get very lost in today's wordy patterns.

I think you are supposed to fill in the flower head on this one too.

Loving this image as much as I did I couldn't wait to get stitching.
Favorite fabric (Lori Holt's Millie's Closet) set the colors...
Added ruffle and rick rack.
She is a sweet addition to my laundry cart from Renee of Sewn with Grace. I cannot help but think she would look just as cute on an apron.
WOE!! I have Little Grama's 29c clothes pin bag but this one is adorable!! What a face on that pin!

I absolutely love that. It is so adorable! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have a special clothes pin apron that belonged to one of the other ladies at our church that passed away some years ago. I will have to share it some day!
One of the cutest things ever! You did such a good job choosing your fabrics and trims!
ReplyDeleteErica :)
This is so sweet!- Love it! You know, my mother told me that who could hang their laundry on the line first was a little neighborly "competition" about who was the best homemaker. Now we have dryers and the 10:00pm fold is our little secret - LOL!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely just as cute on an apron! And I really love your aprons! (smile)
ReplyDeleteAw - so cute. Love the bright fabrics.

I love your stitching and choice of fabrics. So pretty and sweet!
ReplyDeleteTHAT is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteToo Cute! I want to go and stitch one up today :) Renee, what method of transfer do you use for embroidery?? Seems I've tried them all and seem to like the old carbon paper tracing best.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! You do such great work! I love looking at your things.
ReplyDeleteI love clothespin bags so much you could almost believe I enjoy doing laundry!
ReplyDeleteSo darling and cheery!! I love that top picture too! So pretty!! :) Hope you have a lovely day! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteSO cute. I had clothespin bags on my mind today, after coming home from JoAnns. They had a cute one but not in my colors. I love the little clothepin.
ReplyDeleteit's appropriate to put this up on a monday as "wash on monday". my dear mother made me a clothespin bag in 1984 that still looks good as new. and i always hang my clothes to dry, so it's seen a lot of work. my mother passed away in 1995 and i wouldn't think of using a different bag. i love this design though. the apron is made out of a light gold and off white ticking stripe on a duck type fabric. i think he would show up on it. would it be too terrible to embroider on my mother's apron?
ReplyDeleteI love it!...and I love that you used my fabric:)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet indeed.

I nominated you for the "Sunshine Award". If you decline, please know that I understand. It does require some time that you may not have...More than anything, I just want to express my admiration for your incredible blog.
Blessings,
Carolynn xoxo
