Quilted

This Queen of the calendar...is having a difficult time keeping my schedule. I am desperately trying to squeeze every last second in the studio I can...this week only an hour. I will spare you the 16th birthday  hoopla, last talent show for our 5th grader, softball and golf and the migraine. Duly noted are the family dinners and smiles we have preserved.  Last week I did happen to squeeze in a long planned project before the carpool beckoned.

A flickr project once spied had me on the very long search for a hexagon quilt top.

Careful cutting of this quilt cutter piece saved all the colors and fabrics I loved.

You can bet if I had yards and yards of this I would recover so many pieces.

I love the way it matches everything in the room.
If I should go missing next week...you will find me buried in 5th grade farewell, High School finals and middle school madness.  Wait for me...I will return!

I love this rendition of the sewing stool! Your reason is much more substantial than mine for not being here. I just got busy being spoiled on Mothers Day and didn't write my Sunday post! A 16 year old! Dating and driving all at once, you just take as much time as you need, we'll be here.

Nevertheless, you did a wonderful job on the stool. I remember those busy days, go, go, go! Things will eventually slow down and you will have all the time in the world, once your housework and gardening and cooking are done! LOL, it really does get better, just enjoy the kids while they are young, they will be grown up before you know it!

Delightful project! Enjoy that carpool/Mom time. It is more important than you know and not something you can get back. Go with it. Cobwebs and dust, go to sleep, I'm rocking my babies and babies don't keep....

Oh, Renee! What a time you're having! Let me just tell you...the life of a homeschooling mother--even of high schoolers--is SO much less stressful! I wouldn't trade in those elementary school talent shows for anything, though--sweet memories!

You'll get through it all beautifully, I know...making it wonderful for all around you.

I LOVE your chair re-covering! What a wonderful idea to use a quilt that needs new life...fabulous!

Wishing you a little peace today, dear friend...and definitely no migraines!

I have a question and don't know how to ask you:) On the embroidery patterns that you put on to download....do you have to have a flicker pro account to be able to print them? I would like to copy some, but can't figure out how it works. I hope someone can help me figure it out. Love the blog and can hardly wait for the store to open:)
Thanks.

Oh, I love this! I should really recover my computer chair...

Hope you make it through this busy time. Life feels crazy to me right now, too, and I've only got little ones!

I do love that chair, and I so identify with the madness that is spring - hate to say it, but it is such a relief to have kids 'age out' of all that craziness. Everybody has to have a picnic, a party, a going-away event ... not to mention sports and spring birthdays. But I do miss the occasional Little League game...
