Mending Monday--Stars and a little more...

There is a big yellow heater in the sky and we are currently not getting along because it refuses to play nice. Trust me, I know this after spending the weekend sitting on hot metal slathered in slimy sunscreen watching my daughter's team finish their softball season. Seven games, ten pounds of powdered dirt, 32 gallons of water, and more sweat than you'd like to know...our girls finished one game shy of first.

The directions to some of these stitching designs I find quite necessary to explain what they were thinking of when they added them to the pattern page.

If you need me I'll be in front of the fan...pouting.

I am thinking that your seashore images are wishful thinking...and, where you'd rather be right now!
I wish I could package up some of our cool air and send it your way, my sweet friend!

  12. Those embroidery patterns are enough to make you want to jump into some cool ocean water ... wishing you a cool & breezy 4th of July.

Summer is just getting started here in Oregon. And it'll be over in a blink of the eye.

  15. You poor lady! I've come to the conclusion that the reason I don't mind summer heat anymore is because I never have to leave home in it! With air conditioning and a pool- I LONG for heat! ♥

  16. Sometimes I am glad that we are out of that stage for awhile. I hae been right where you have. Devotion for sure.
This heat is awful esp. when you have no power. Ours has been restored but many others are still out. We were the lucky ones....only 3 days They are saying by July 8 for the rest. Unbelievable.
Congratulations to your daughter's team. That is still a good ending.
    Happy Fourth.

  18. Oh my gosh you are brave to seat in that heat. I am not sure how our kids can stand the heat. But as long as they are having fun and not getting heat stroke.
