This fabric has been sitting on the top of my pile for quite some time. I have tried forever to figure out a reason that I need to keep it. I don't but I can't just sit and look at it folded any longer. This is by far the sweetest tea towel I have come across in quite awhile.
I purchased them together on the same day. They have been meant to be.
Could you see drying your hands on this?
The feed sack was intact and I carefully pulled out the stitching.
"Larabee's Best"
Every last little inch used.
Kona cotton in cream to make the ties and back the apron.
I think I ironed it at least 5 times. It is now listed in the shop. I will happily iron it for you again should you purchase it.
This is beautiful. I love your blog. I don't sew as much as I crochet.

What a wonderful use of a beautiful old tea towel! I have drawers and suitcases full of those. I hope you don't mind me stealing your idea! What a cute apron! In everything, give thanks, GrandmaSoucie
ReplyDeleteRenee,
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at making such beautiful things. I noted in the comments that it is already sold, so I won't even get my hopes up! I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Thanks so much for the nice comment you left me. I was trying to write back to people who commented but mom had another fall and I have been spending lots of time and the hospital and now nursing home. If I already wrote you I apologize for being senile! I'm so happy that your brother won that prize back then, how wonderful. I am sorry it is too hot for you to go this year. I will take pics though and share them. I hope you have a wonderful week my friend!
Hugs,
Julie
