My Merry Mailman

The last few items of vacation have been put away and lucky for me they were all mine. While my family came home with new t-shirts, bumper stickers, bracelets and other souvenirs I came home to a box of mail. It was like Christmas morning. Claire was ever so happy to help open each one.

Meri of Imagimeri's Creations sent her blog banner and a few extra tuck ins. Not only does her banner move it tells the story of how she and her creations came to be. Meri mail is truly magic mail.

Dorothy of Hensrule was so kind to send over some lovely old card catalog cards. I remember flipping through these in college. Man I feel old. Sweet tuck ins too. I will be using these on paper tags.

Erica  of Golden Egg Vintage whom I now know must be my twin because she collects the very same books I would! sold these darling Christmas lots and I couldn't pass it. Beautifully wrapped and this sweet little doll pincushion who now sits on my desk.

Miss Kim of Musings of Kim K., the sweetest lady around, knows me too well. She sent me a just because package on the most perfect day when I was having a come apart (right before we left). A little bonnet, wooden doll in the perfect shade of yellow and the cutest little singer model sewing machine.

Ladies, Claire pulled this out of one of the packages and cannot remember which one. I am remiss to tell you who it was that sent this, I feel horrible. It is gorgeous and I have pressed it and it fits beautifully on Betsy.

Nan of Retired in Alaska has been busy cleaning out her clutter and sent along these Gooseberry Patch books. These have some darling ideas in them.

Sandy of 521 Lake Street simply nailed her blog banner. It looks like it jumped off her blog page. Love the old photo on the front.

In the midst of the mail came a load of fabric I ordered from Kerri of Sew Deerly Loved. I am hoping to delve into this Cotton Floss book and sew up a few of these patterns with the matching Cinderberry fabric.

Also from Kerri, really could you resist these?

I tried and tried to stay away from the October Afternoon fabric...but these were on sale at Sew Mama Sew and I am in heaven. The most vivid colors and soft cotton. Think of the bins I could make with these.

October Afternoon........Christmas

Because I am not busy enough I ordered this from Amazon.

Thank you all so very much for the sweet mail that comes my way. I appreciate the time that each one of you has taken out of your day to put a package in the mail or drop by the blog. I am really blessed.

Did you know that I have an ACTUAL identical twin sister that has no interest in anything vintage what so ever? She won't even step foot in a thrift store! HaHa!

  31. Oh my, I love Meri's banner piece. I still have to make ones for Sandy and Elizabeth. I've been up to my neck filling orders for some custom garlands. I always love to see the treasures you find and recieve.
I use many of the October Afternoon papers in my crafting...the fabric is just as cute as the paper. I can't wait to see what you'll make with it.
