Just a moment.

There was only a moment for me to run into a local thrift store today.  I did manage to grab a few little items.  Some I have never seen before.  A few that caught my eye.  Most are old favorites.  As my kids wrap up the end of the school year and the ball season heads into full swing, I am barely able to take a breath.  This was a nice spare moment that I enjoyed.

A wonderful 50's photo puzzle.  Labeled Pajama Party.  Technicolor photo in the most amazing neon colors.  Peter pan collars and glass soda bottles.

Lots of junior fun going on here.  Not sure if all the pieces are there or not.  It will be fun to find out.

1965 Parade of Stories.  There are some sweet little poems and stories inside including Winnie the Pooh.

I know I am such a sucker for old school books.  Lovely illustrations.

Kansas history book from 1965...again.  I know that this will come in handy for someones project.

I didn't realize the beauty I was in for when I found this fantastic McCall's sewing book.

These are only a few of the great graphics that I can't wait to craft with.

Including the opening graphic this book is jammed full of these black and white graphics.  For .69 cents I can't pass up a book full of vintage sewing craft papers.
I've decided that if I can just make it through next week, my schedule will slow down tremendously.  I think...either that or haven't turned the page on the calendar.

  4. What fun books... love the illustrations! And the pajama party puzzle is so fun. I love putting puzzles out on the table over the holidays when we have family around to help put them together.

  6. What great books. The illustrations are just delightful. I'm glad you were able to squeeze in some much-needed thrifting. Best wishes with the end of the school year wrap-up. Have a splendid Memorial weekend. Our's will be filled with a huge plant sale, finally painting the treehouse, antiquing and squeezing in time to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. Cheers!

  10. Gosh, this is interesting...I just found your blog tonight thru 521 Lake St. and as I am skimming thru your posts I see the very same book Parade of Stories that my kids have in their room and just yesterday I sat down to really look at it (it was my husband's childhood book) and I just loved the cute illustrations and poems about grasshoppers & fairies! I collect vintage children's books and somehow this one escaped me...ha, now it is mine since they don't want it.
Also, the little aprons you made for S. is what brought me over here...I am currently sewing those very same aprons from the same pattern! I've had the pattern for a looong time and finally decided to pull it out & give it a try. :)
