Farm Fresh

Sometimes you just have to throw in the towel.  That was today.  It just started going downhill the minute I got up.  Nothing major just the nagging minor issues that continued to add up.  At about three o'clock I had had my fill and I knew exactly where to go to turn it around.
Flea market here I come...

That's where I found Stanley the Steer in the tin barn.  Right below the yellow hay pulley.
It is bright and sunny all day in the flea market per his blue shadow.

Come on in and help with the milking.

The calves are ready to be fed from my neatly cut hay.  Go ahead and use the pitch fork.

We can get all kinds of implements in these doors.  Just don't park them on the hay!

Who wouldn't have a happy time in this sweet tin barn.  My mood was immediately lifted once I found this.  Can't you just see a farm truck full of Christmas trees for the holidays and bottle brush wreaths on the doors!

Happi-times indeed.

Smiles on sweet faces in these darling children's books.

Yet another dreamy tablecloth with not a stain on it.
Wonderful!

I must admit I don't normally go for these, but lately I have been drawn to them?
Yummy colors...

Buttons at last...and the odd doll hands?
Best idea I've had in a while.  Stopped the suffering day right in its path.
Here is hoping for Happi days again.

  4. Hi Renee! I just love the shiny floor in the milking section of the barn. If I had a farm, I would have such clean cows! This posts makes me long for a trip to the antique mall. I'll start saving my pennies..... Have a great weekend ahead! Elizabeth

  7. Buttons and tablecovers always get me excited. The barn is very cute..I had a metal dollhouse when I was a kid but I don't remember seeing a barn. Of course, I was a city gal. :)

  8. The cow barn is so cute! I can't wait to see what you do with it over the holidays! I love doll sized houses and barns. LOve all the buttons and doilies. And that Buttercup Farm book is super duper sweet!
I hope your day turned around and you are feeling better about everything. Vintage therapy is so much better than regular retail therapy!

I love the Christmas idea for the barn but I naturally would because I'm all about Christmas :) I spent Saturday thrifting with the bloggers in so IN and KY and gathered some farm goodies for a baby shower I am doing, but nothing like this sweet vintage barn, this find would definitely boost my mood ! Thanks for sharing your finds, E in TN

  11. I hear ya! I'm always under stress (I have a challenging Autistic child), so my go to place is the Goodwill since it is the only thing open when I can get away. They don't have great vintage stuff, but ever once in a while I find a treasure like the Fisher-Price Playhouse from the '60s-70s. Things that make me smile again. Your farm reminds me of The Farm Chicks Christmas book I have...love their little decorative farm scene.

  13. Cute! Wish we had a flea market! I've seen the tin houses at the antique mall but they are too pricey! Glad you were able to get a little retail therapy. ♥

  16. OH MY GOSH! This just made my day. When I was a little girl my most FAV toys were my farm sets. I would spend hours and hours playing down on the farm. I would give anything to find one like yours. Thanks for sharing, it brought back so many wonderful memories. Hugs and blessings, Nan
