Findings

Sharing together time today, my daughter and I hit a couple of our favorite spots.  Even my boys like to hit the flea market.  The old stuff is just better...Anyway, Claire and I headed to one of our stores and picked up a few things.  It was nice to get out of the house and shop with someone who has similar taste.

Just a couple of goodies.  Enough to keep our arms full and wallets empty.

Vintage record box.  I am planning on decoupaging it with vintage pattern paper and putting old patterns in it.

Milk glass cookie jar.  Love the shape and the graphics.  This one is going to hole vintage button cards.

Beautiful green picnic tin.  This baby was tucked high on the top of a shelf.  Clearly no one could reach it.  I did not hesitate to ask for it to be taken down and marked sold!  I have no idea what I am going to put in it, but I love it.

Beautiful bright detailed table runner.  This one is tiny.  I love the doily-ish edge.

Bridal bouquet purple tablecloth.  This one has some stains.  The colors are stunning though.  I couldn't pass them up.  I love the edging and the fact that the flowers are in a bouquet.  Details get me every time.

  1. I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy some quality mother/daughter time. Cute finds. I'm glad that basket found a good home. I'm sure it's been lonely for quite a while. Your linens are yummy and I can't wait to see what happens with the record album makeover.

We finally got your heat today. It's 94 degrees. Where was this weather last week at the cottage?

  4. OH!!!!!Vintage loveliness. I was on the hunt all weekend and had some major finds. If you are interested in my finds take a peek! I needed the linens like a hole in the head but I will be making pin cushions and pillows galore soon! I couldn't let them go. I did leave behind a boatload of Meakin Ironstone because I have no room right now. This truly pained me! I did sneek 2 wee pieces in. I can find room for them. LOL

  8. The green picnic tin is great!! And the gingerbread cookie jar will be really cute to keep your buttons in! Does your daughter have specific things (for a collection?) she searches for when she goes vintage shopping with you?

  9. Ohhh, love the vintage linens! I can't pass up something like that either, stains or not. I always figure you can work around them and if I really love it then I plan to actually USE it and don't mind the stains since I know there will be more. Great idea for the record box!

  11. You find the most amazing things. I love that you share pictures with us. It's almost like being there. I could honestly be either at a quilt shop or antique store every single day. But, since I can't, I'll just continue to enjoy the pictures of treasures found!
