Thrifty Finds...

I love this vintage greeting card image.  It is just a fun start to today's post.  I don't know about you, but I never leave the house with out my nails done and my collar pressed...ha!

Two cute little Fitz and Floyd mugs.  I am going to stash these away for my bottle brush trees next year.

Lefton Lovely, not a chip on her, perfect for a pincushion.  Two Valentine angels in need of repair but cute just the same.

These little boys are labeled Hong Kong.  I am not sure of the age, but I really liked their faces.  They appear to be made of plastic.  I think I will use them in a Santa candy boot.  The angels were my favorite find.  They have that Irmi feel.  Very simplistic and very tiny.

Books are my downfall.  I run out of space so fast for these. The bottom one is an early 1900's Walt Whitman poetry collection.  The top one is a 1909 copy of a mint book keeping manual with the most gorgeous writing and graphics.  Cute travel clock in muddy colors pink and green that still work for $1.00.  You can't get a new plastic one for a dollar.

Some playing cards.  I use these as gift tags on packages.  They work so well and make the gift look unique.  This little card fell out of the book.  It is a Christmas card dated 1857.   As far as I can tell it looks real.  Sometimes I wonder, that whole reality thing....

A page out of the book keeping book.

Just a few shiny brites to round it out.

A face only a mother could love.  My Lincoln down for the count while I sort the goods.

A huge thank you to Miss Elizabeth of Creative Breathing/ Bluebird Papercraft for shining the light on my  blog today.  You all have given me such a warm welcome.  I really love all your comments.  I have a weekend full of new blogs to read!
