Vintage felt found at the thrift store. It just oozes Doris Day. Loads of jewels and glamour. I can't wait to open it up and see what fun lies ahead.
This one is still in the package. Its creamy and just perfect for my dining room. Look at that gold fringe.
I found some of the packages with half done ornaments in them. Well, I have to finish them. Its only right. They can't just sit there in the bag forever.
I grabbed them for the patterns and didn't even think to look inside to see if there was any felt or supplies. The stitching is good and the colors are crisp.
I do this all the time...I get so excited that I just put it in my basket and don't bother to look at it till I get home. That's when I clean things up and file every thing away. I don't have a good poker face, when I find good things I am a dead give away. This way if I like it and I am in my studio and there is extra stuff in the bag, I let out a squeal. These are just great. I am still digging through the bags and sorting things out. Sequins, felt, patterns and such.
Happiness from the thrift store for less than a hamburger!
Super find! Oh my gosh the prices for vintage felt kits is unbelievable on E-bay. I loved making kits in the 70's as a child, and this is why I began creating my own patterns. Such a fun kit! E
