The finished product...Gingham Glory Giveaway!

Yesterday it was 91 degrees...last night we had a hail storm...this morning it was 41 degrees with 45 mph winds.  It is Kansas and the weather changes by the minute.  I earned every minute of my sewing day inside.  It was a very productive Monday.  Enjoy the big reveal!

All of the things from the first apron were happily fixed.  I am so excited that it came out better than I imagined.

Bow wraps around  to the front.  Of course I don't have this hour glass figure anymore, but it looks cute just the same.  So much fun recreating this rick rack waist band.  You might recognize it from my recent gingham vintage apron finds.

The sweet side sweep of the ruffles.

Beautiful fluff of the ruffles.  Cross over of the ribbon tie.  Button cover closure.

This one is all about the details.  Lace, rick rack, crochet...and so much more.   I spared no detail in sewing and fully lined this one.

The bow is lined with the green gingham just for the extra touch.  I tell you, these are so fun and such sweet creations to finish.  Truly wonderful pieces of the past to enjoy.

  2. I can't believe you are giving away this gorgeous creation...really? Wow. You are one amazing/generous lady.

Speaking of weather, we had the worst thunderstorm around 1am. The lightening hit so close to our house that our fire alarms went off. I've never flown out of bed so fast to check on the girls. My heart got a work-out.

I've been a crafting mad-scientist today. Tomorrow, I'm doing a girls day out with my mom and sister. We're hitting at least 8 thrifting/antique stores. I'm thinking of documenting our journey.

  24. I love your apron ! ! ! ! This is the beauty I want to make, but every time I start I end up with a more-or-less tailored looking creation. I need to loosen up and add RUFFLES, BOWS, RIBBONS, FLORAL FABRICS, BRIGHT FLORAL FABRICS.
BTW, we had the high temps 94 degrees and we had the wind. Luckily all the 'weather' skipped over us.
    Hugs,
