We have this "vintage junk fair" that happens on the first Friday of the month. However, it is downtown...like really downtown. Outside my comfortable ten mile radius. I know I sound old stubborn. Spare me the criticism. Feeling brave I called upon my (I don't thrift and antiques are for old people) best girlfriend Amy.  I promised her lunch if she would provide the company!

I remember now why I didn't go before.  These vendors really like their goods.

While I appreciate that they had some items that were unique I was not fooled by the clay tags and burlap ribbon they were wrapped in.

What I loved was the bounty of fabric that I could not get enough of...I think I bought almost all of it.

One whole pattern tucked in because it was priced reasonably.

What bothered me most was how unapproachable the dealers were. It was like a herd of cattle.  I think one person might have asked how we were doing? Well, I did have a couple laughs with a friend and brought home a few goodies...and I realized I am proudly Old Fashioned!

The sweetest package from my partner Cindy of Treasures in my Heart arrived today in the mail. Thank you Cindy for the beautiful bunting, cards and Easter basket. Everything is perfect.
