Side Tracked

I left the words on this card. It seemed to make more sense. A birthday card signed by a child for another. The "f" in from was backwards. I suppose today it would have a glossy finish and a very overworked computer graphic cartoon image of a popular children's character.

While I was supposed to be finishing up my bins today, I got a little side tracked. My hexi's have been so fun to sew I had to finish something with them.

I ordered this little chair from Erica's Etsy shop. It is so darling at a mere seven inches tall. Detailed with a decal. I adore it.

I saw a picture of this pincushion on Pinterest then I stumbled on the pattern and knew just what fabric to sew it in. I should note that this is an enormous pincushion. 6" round by 3" high.

A daily view of the most beautiful feedsacks to date...

a little side track is good for the soul. Producing as much as you have been lately, I think a pleasant playtime with piglets was just the ticket!

Oh my goodness, I just love it! So cheerful and pretty. Sometimes when we are least expecting it, an idea will come along and we'll try a new pattern - that's when I find I'm most creative. Great job!

I love the little chair, so delightful. It is getting a little cooler here thanks, isn't it funny about the vintage images and no brunettes, my hubby even offered to change the hair color on one for me...but I just couldn't
I needed to find one and I did! Your package is on its way. Hugs, Diane

That is so cute, Renee! What a great idea to use the piece for that purpose. A nice big size, too, I sometimes find the smaller ones can be a little too small.

I also love the pin cushion, Renee. How do you sew the hexies together? I have a pile of antique hexie squares that I would love to finish into a quilt someday. I've been looking for info. ANy help would be appreciated. The highchair is adorable and I know will look so cute in your studio.Have a great day!

I love the pincushion you made with the prairie-points. (I think I may have pinned that one too.) And I love the wee little piggies. :-)
