A big mess...

Eight baseball games.
One came in second the other came in first!
Ten Shrubs trimmed.
Fall mums planted.
Perennial garden winterized.
Two trips to the gym to run out some stress.

Something had to give...

There is a giant mess on my sewing table. Lori's quilt along in progress.

Hexis sewn in the bleachers this weekend along with some amazing mail.

A new tool that has revolutionized my sewing.

Where has this tool been all my life?

I am itching to sew some of my newest fabrics.

  1. I LOVE the Angler 2. I'm using it right now, in fact. No more drawing the pencil line diagonally across a square!!!

  3. You are one busy girl, Renee! Don't you find yourself craving stitching like most ladies crave chocolate? I sure do!

  4. You better get to scratchin' that itch missy! I've just laid out 7 different selections for Christmas shadowboxes to make. I could make most of them tomorrow, but we'll see how I'm feeling. I stripped the vinyl off of one of my work tables (which took me most of the day) in preparation for a makeover. I should be posting about it next week.

    Hugs,

  10. I'll have to show my mom your post and ask her about the tool. She's the queen of quilting. You definitely are one busy lady. I understand cravings. I sit in faculty meetings dreaming of crafting. Have a peaceful Wednesday.

  11. Enjoy the busy, busy, busy. My DS has flown the coop and is in college and some days it is so quiet in my house I think I will go nuts! I kinda miss the ball games, PTA meetings, run here and there... then again it is nice to call my time my own!

I will have to check out your new tool. Looks interesting!

  13. Hopefully life will slow down for you, soon, so you can get back to working on your projects.

  14. Oh, I can so relate! I have sat in bleachers, stands, rinks, folding chairs, and on picnic blankets, cheering, rooting, gasping, wishing, and watching. I have kept my hands busy with tatting, knitting, crocheting lace edging. (3 boys: soccer, baseball, lacrosse, football, hockey..I think that's everything?) 16 years so far, and probably only 2 left. What will I do then to get chilled, stiff, hoarse, tired, hungry and behind on my to-do list? (Wait for grandchildren, that's what, and then start all over again!)

  16. I don't understand how the Angler works. Is there a slit in it so you sew with it on your machine? I may have to get this. I hate drawing the pencil line and even when I do I don't keep the needle on it. My mind wanders when I sew, what can I say?

  17. I just watched the Angler 2 video on Youtube. OH MY GOSH…I think of all the half square triangle quilts I didn't make. I think this may have revolutionized my sewing as well!
