Livestock

A blustery morning, two estate sales, and some livestock! It was beautiful this morning. Brisk with the threat of rain. My favorite estate sale co. was having a pre-sale and I was excited to be out in the free air conditioning.

The pickings were so interesting I enjoyed every nook and cranny in each house...The bin drawers in the back are turquoise already!

Best in show.

Kellogs cluckers.

Lovely livestock.
Including a chalkware sheep.

Honey Horses.

Fireman too...
All these are going on jars for gifts. I knew I could find some.

Dear Santa and Frosty.

Linens with divine stitching.

My heart sang when I found these...little strawberry napkins and a set of geese towels. Underneath is a delicate linen and lace child's pillowcase.

  12. Have you heard the song by Johnny Cash called Rock Island Line, some of the lyrics goes, "I got livestock, I got livestock, I got cows, I got pigs, I got sheep,
I got mules, I got all livestock..." ? Just thought of it looking at your sweet finds!! xo Heather

  15. Ahhh! I'm happy for you that you were able to get out there and have fun! Haaa! I've been telling Noel that she's "Best In Show" for months. I even have a song that goes along with it! I'll spare you the lyrics! I'm one of those people that are obsessed with their dog! LOL

  16. Eeeee! I love little plastic farm animals and especially when there are little farmers. I spent hours playing with those as a child. I recently scored a bag full at The Bins and made up a little "poke box" for the Grand. Her Daddy went crazy on the childhood memories from Grandma's house. Love, love, love!

  18. I'm finally ready for fall! It was 28 degrees the other morning but it warmed up to 60. Now we're going to get back up into the 80s and the air is still and smokey from fires. :(

Love the looks of the winter time book! Those little children building a snowman look so cute! ♥

  23. Lucky score! Are you going to use the livestock goodies to decorate jars? I've been wanting to do this but haven't found the animals yet.
