Interruptions

When your house if full of clutter and there is a mess of tinsel in every room. When all the minutes of the day are accounted for shuffling kids around. When finals are looming for your high school-er. What do you do? You drop everything. We have a standing rule at our house. When someone offers you tickets to a KU game you always take them.

This building is so rich with history you get goosebumps even before the players come on the court.

The entire Fieldhouse sways to the Alma Mater.

So many banners hang from the rafters you get dizzy from looking.

Because sometimes you have to drop everything...for the best interruptions.

I love basketball season.

  2. What weirdos, rootin for the home team......LOL. I wish I could get that excited about a local team, but it hasn't happened since the 90's when our Phoenix Suns almost won the conference. Our state sucks for sports.

Awesome family time though, and check out the concentration on those faces!

    Love ya'

  4. I have about ten family members spread out through that very same stadium. They are Jayhawk fans, to put it mildly.

  6. Dear friends of mine are KU alumni. They go back to games all the time! Wouldn't that be a hoot if you knew them. =)

  7. I agree about dropping everything for family moments like that. I got to go take in a preview at "The Kennel" at Gonzaga when I was up there for parents weekend. So fun to see all the craziness of the students and fans.
I always think fondly of you and Melissa with the Rock Chalk craziness!

  15. oooooohhhhh ... your team has four more national championship banners than my team. Maybe this year? As always, if I don't have the Orange to cheer for, I'll root for the Jayhawks!

  16. There isn't a more exciting place to watch basketball. Wouldn't it be fun to have "Magpie" fly in and take her to a game. I would love to meet both of you.

  17. I love basketball too! All thru my high school days I went to games. Our oldest cheered boys and girls varsity teams so we went to watch 'cheerleaders' but I loved the games! We still bought season passes for 12 years after the cheerleader graduated! Good game! Good game! Good game!
