This is the back page of the Tiny Tales book Little Chick-Chick. I will continue to get into the story pages this week and next. I was distracted by these images first and thought it only fitting that they post back to back. All are Whitman published and I should note they are no bigger than 3.5x4.5 inches. Perfect for the chubby toddler hand or the adult who can't give them up!
A lovely friend I met while blogging, Miss B, whom I admire greatly, not only because she has incredible taste, but her writing skills are enviable. This woman has mad picking skills, even better gardening skills and beyond fathomable vintage decorating expertise. Don't even get me started on her Christmas decorations.
She mentioned to me she had these seed packets and of course I jumped on them, channeling my long unused Horticulture degree from college. Low and behold a cute little package arrives in the mail with the seed packets and a note...."Renee, if you plant these maybe more will grow." I was thinking hmm...maybe they are heirloom seeds?
Heirloom indeed. Look at the darling feed sacks that were sweetly folded in them....Yes, I will be putting gifts together like this in the future! How cute?
Did they ever grow? Ha! If you are lucky, very lucky, you might just be able to purchase one of her amazing finds via her Etsy shop Oodles and Oodles like I did and on the very same day (not planned) my seed packets grew.
To this gorgeous lot of vintage aqua/green 6x6 inch lot. I wish I would have gotten more. Hurry, there are some listed. Thank you so much Miss B, I haven't grown such a beautiful garden since college.
This morning while I was blog reading and coffee drinking I saw how Trish at Notes of Sincerity posted her tutorial on no scraps granny squares and knew immediately there was a pillow in my future. Then I ran out of thread...well it had to end somewhere.

I love your feedsack fabric. I just happen to find oodles and oodles a little bit ago. Love her style as well. What a great idea to put seeds in the feedsacks.

I love Barbara and her blog and agree about her writing skills and wonderful decorating. Love the seed packets!
The Granny Squares would be a perfect first project for me! Simple, straight edges...and I have lots of feedsack squares to use up. Otherwise I would be first in line at Barbara's shop! Oh her selection is great! And what a sweet gift she sent you.
Marking her Etsy shop as a favorite right now!!!!
Thanks Renee :)
