Cafe Rod and Sewing Christmas?

The boys have returned and thus the camera is back for more blogging.
No trophy this time just loads of fun and laughter.
While the boys were away, my sewing machine did hum.
This sweet vintage fabric I found on etsy came had all the right colors and just the right vibe.
Best of all...it was 4 full yards!

Can you say 1950's kitchen kitschy?
Rooster, carnations, pink clocks and teapots.

These are the doors to my mending studio.
Wonderful because they open wide to get all the big goodies in.
Unfortunately, they also let all the boys friends/visitors a big view too.
I have been looking for just the right fabric for a while.
It didn't help that I needed at least 4 yards of it.
I did add a header and footer of pink fabric for the rod pockets.
How perfectly pink and cute are these now?

They still let light in, but provide the privacy I need.
It is just a little bit of print that makes it a happy addition.
(still haven't figured out the camera lighting issue)

This is the truest color picture.
I would be set for life with my Best Press spray, iron, sewing machine and vintage fabric.
The hours just fly by when I am sitting there pressing that pedal.

Purchased at the Fabric Patch shop.
This month for Sewing Christmas...
I would love to pull out the fantastic orange blossom table scarf...but it is in pieces in the trash.
Somethings just don't turn out.
After I pulled out four seams I was done with it.
With July right around the corner...I cannot wait to start on this new book I just got in the mail.
The top right corner plum pudding pin cushion is going to be the first thing on my list.
Pop over to Sewn with Grace to see what everyone else is making...

Those curtains are absolutely perfect. Just darling. And, I love the new book. Looks like fun, I'll have to look it up and see if I can see more about it.

Your curtains are the cutest thing ever. How lucky you where to find 4 yards. I have been looking for Get Red Red Ready for Christmas. If you do mind can you please tell me where you found it.

The new curtain are just perfect with your wall color! Sorry one of your projects didn't turn out. That can be really frustrating! Did the boys have any trouble getting home on 29? I had seen all the flooding pictures.

Yes I agree the curtains are perfectly perfect as E would say!
I have thrown out a lot myself. Sewing never goes smoothly for me even after a lifetime of it always something comes along to cause a problem and give me fits!

My friend just gave me a sewing machine that I may learn to sew. Problem is, I don't even know what to do with a bobbin! Looks like another trip to mom's is due!

That fabric is divine! It looks just fabulous on your french doors.
Have you ever tried Picnik.com to edit your pictures? You can adjust and brighten the pictures to compensate for lighting issues. I use it all the time.
