Pull!

This morning found me at a very nice little estate sale.  Cute older couple.  She the dotting grandmother. He the woodworking grandfather.  I found myself the lucky recipient of a couple of their treasures.

Perhaps a couple of their children and grand children's treasures too.

I have seen these pillows once before and I adore the way they look.  Today I was lucky enough to get the pillow and the pattern.

This is the largest Meyercord decal I have ever seen.  What on earth am I going to put it on.  I don't have a crib any longer.  I am going to have to thing on this one.  Claire got some new doll house furniture.

Child sized apron...tin coasters and seamstress hem chalk/stick.  On my way in from the car the bottom dropped off and cracked...bummer.

Inside the garage was an extreme maze of furniture in all states of refinishing.  Tools strewn as if things were still being worked on. Table after table of bagged hardware.  Department store quantities.  No two bags were alike.  Some were just singles.  Others full sets of 12.  All from different furniture eras.  All marked at one dollar a bag. I didn't think much of it until I got home with my 8 bags.  I should have grabbed more as I am sure to never see this again.

Mere moments passed before this gorgeous knob made it to the newly painted table.  Amazing how these handles are such a beautiful work of art. This one like a little doily.  A workshop full of prized pieces. Something I will never forget every time I pull it.

Renee, I just gave away some pulls like the ones on the right hand side, middle. They were on my bthroom cabinets and drawers when I loved in. I never found anything to do with them, so out they went.

I wouldn't know what to use the decals on either, other tahn a crib. Maybe you can put it in a white frame for now and enjoy. Someday you may come up with an idea. (Like a crib for grandbabies)

Renee you did great. What great finds. The decal is just precious. I remember them on our baby bed when I was little. My sister used it with her children and that was all she wrote. I do not think I have seen a pillow like that. But I just love it and how lucky is that to get the pattern as well.

That hardware is awesome --- for some reason I'm into hardware at the moment. I think because it's so expensive to buy anywhere other than an estate sale. Now to find some furniture to go with it... :-)

Great sale! I have found three super large Meyercord decals like that in all my years of estate saling. Kept one and sold off the other two. Am SURE you will find the perfect spot for it! Great hardware score too.

Oh my. You did so well at this sale, dear friend. I can't believe all the hardware you managed to bring home. Those pillow patterns are so sweet and perfectly YOU!! Can't wait to see what you end up doing with your decal.

Aw! Now we have the same decal! Mine is too big to fit in my scanner! I just have mine "framed". ♥

Oh Renee! My grandmother made so many pillows just like the pattern you have shared. I can't tell you how long I have wanted to see one again. I began to think I had imagined them. You have made my day! Have a great weekend! Elizabeth

Yes, those drawer pulls were a great find! That is the kind of thing I end up not buying as many of as I should and kicking myself when I get home.
