Cut and Paste

Santa came a little early for me this year.  Well, at least my order did and I just couldn't stand the fact that I knew what was in the box.  I opened it and mania ensued.  You will see...

I am not a willing wallpaper fan but be still my heart when I ran across this Cath Kidston paper.

Two days...loads of paste and one wall later I am still in love!

The other walls will get a fresh coat of Swiss Coffee White.

This wall will be a full wall of shelves.

Something similar to this lovely image found here for inspiration.

Tomorrow there will be a lot of painting and priming.

Thank you Santa! (wink, wink)

Oh how fun. I love Kath Kidson but shoot I can't buy from her in England now can I it shoots the price way up I just have to look at her catalog and drool. You must have found this over here I'm thinking. Swiss Coffee white is what my painter used on my new sections. Also today half of my craft cabinets arrived. More on that later on my blog.

Alright girlfriend, when you're done playin' around in your room......you need to get your butt over here to help me do mine!

Beautiful paper, but then everything Kath Kidston is perfect. Have fun, but don't hurt yourself please.

Hugs,
Meri

I have been looking all over to buy those same sehlf brackets in bulk. Did you find a deal on them? At Lowes they are about $6 each and I need a BUNCH!

I love your idea of a wall of shelves, the white will be perfect with that wonderful wall paper! You may have motivated me to do a wall or two in my craft room.

OHHHHHHHHH I'm LOVING this transformation. You may inspire me to redo my sewing room! Could you come up here for a day and show me how to do those shelves?

love the paper, renee. it looks spectacular.

would you believe i have a couple of rolls of 'chintz' in reserve for our downstairs powder room? haven't tackled the installation yet... did you find the paper tricky? (someone mentioned that ck paper can be a little difficult.)

how many rolls did you need? special paste? sizing? my mom and i papered quite a bit in the past, but it's been a while.

have a wonderful weekend.

Ha! I would have opened that package immediately! Meanwhile, I am having some serious craft room envy. A whole wall of shelves...looking forward to the final reveal.

It's going to be so beautiful!! I love the wall paper. So dreamy....

We will be doing some painting in my kitchen at the end of the month when hubby has time off of work. I am so excited! I want shelves that will go around two walls up near the ceiling. Then I can put all my Pyrex and other vintage finds on display and still use them when needed.

I love your choice of wallpaper. I have that same design as the theme on my facebook page :) Guess I'd better check out the fabric, huh?
Having shelves along one wall is going to work out great I think! So much space to work with. Are you going to paint your shelves white, too?
