Etsy, Neighbors and blog readers....

Boredom...craft block...a few moments just to get away...I really don't need a reason to spend an hour or four on Etsy.  I have been looking for a little rack to hang some aprons from in my studio.  Not just any rack no I have to make it difficult. A sweet nursery rack.  Maybe one with decals?

Or a Honey of a Bear!  Just super cute and ready to hang.  I found this one and knew instantly I needed it...add to cart...click pay...oh look the store owner lives locally!

We got in touch and made arrangements for a drop off.  During our conversation I discovered she is a reader of my blog!  What a sweet lady.  With impeccable taste.  She was kind enough to drop it off.

I am still trying to get over this sweet face!

She also left me the most darling Jolly Trolly!

And the sweetest cuddling couple planter...
Marci, thank you!  I am in love with them all.  I will most certainly be returning to your shop for more goodies.  I can only imagine how much fun it is to shop with you!  Who would have guessed from Etsy to neighbor and blog reader.

I just love happy endings. How fun to find someone who treasures the same things you do.

Good news to report from the hospital today. Long day. But everything went well.

Marci is a gem. She and I have been blogland friends for awhile and I have enjoyed getting to know her. Sweet of her to do the drop off and include some extra goodies.

I remember having the same bear hanger in my room growing up in the 60's. Love it! Kim

Such a fun story! I was chatting with a woman at a sale not too long ago, and somehow something I said made her connect me with my Etsy shop - small world!

He is perfect for you! Isn't the blog world a small one?
I am looking while listening to the KU/K-State game. I get so nervous that looking at blogs helps. Crazy, I know it is just a game but I do love my Jayhawks!

What a great experience! And yes it is a small world we live in! I have met a few different Bloggers over the years. And Jen of "the Old Painted Cottage"was my neighbor she loved on my street. We still live close to one another and see each other often at Estate Sales. Happy 2012, Diane

Isn't it amazing when those unexpected connections happen? If I recall, several years ago I was in an antique mall where a seller called 'Magpie Ethel' was displaying her business cards in her booth...eventually the universe brought us together in person! :-)

Marci has some cute things on Etsy! But for some reason I thought she had a blog. Rats, she doesn't.

That bear reminds me of the old time cereal, "Sugar Smacks", think that was it. Yep, it does seem like "a small world"...sweet to receive those goodies that are just your thing. :)
