Change is Good

I am trying really hard to contain my excitement...Miss Keren of Free Pretty Things for You is working on updating my blog.  Not only is her work unbelievable but she is going above and beyond for me and using my favorite images. These are from my Ruth E. Newton's illustrated Mother Goose storybook. Keren, you nailed this spot on...I cannot thank you enough!

While I am enjoying my new "vintage" look I just received a huge lot of Workbasket patterns.

Five full inches of  folded embroidery goodness.

Could it be any more graphically beautiful?

As each paper unfolds I get a peek at multiple patterns.

Special felt patterns too.

For pleasure and profit!

Some still ready to work on...

In order to work my way through this bounty I thought it only fair to share. Every Monday I will be sharing a pattern from the lot for as long as file through them.
This sweet bunny is my first installment of...
Mending Monday's

  2. How simply adorable! Keren did a fantastic job capturing the essence of you. Love the blue background with the sweet pink roses. That darling kitten licking from the bowl of milk reminds me of our precious Luna.

    Darling, Renee. Well done, Keren!

  11. It is SEW U!!!! What a lovely look, cute, perky, adorable, happy....just like you! As much as I love Karen Valentines blog she helped me create, I might just have to impose upon Keren, too. She's the it girl for vintage, and even though Karen V., taught me how to do all my own stuff, I'm just the laziest person ever and might not ever get around to doing it myself. Your new goodies are phenomenal, and I sew wish I was still doing embroidery and cross stitch. I'm still ogling and oohing over all the pretties you sent me.....they are ever so lovely dear friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I absolutely adore having things that my friends have made.....such treasures.

    Love ya'

  17. Oh my, I love your new banner! It's perfectly perfect. Also can't wait to see these patterns. I think I might have some these put away somewhere, from my Mom, but didn't know what they were. I'll have to see if I can find them. Cute, cute!

  18. What a super sweet new look for your blog! And I LOVE all your vintage embroidery patterns! Last week I found two Aunt Martha's in the same patterns as the tea towels that my Grandma made. I was almost jumping up and down in the shop booth.

  19. LOVE the new look of your blog, Renee. It's so YOU! I would like to have someone make a new header for me sometime. My daughter used to make them for me, but I drove her nuts with my being so picky, so I'm kinda scared to ask someone!
