Rubbish

A drive out of town to pick up something necessary. In the shadow of the rain flashing thrift store sign.  OPEN

Jammed in a bin. Tossed in a zip bag like leftovers.

Audible sighs when the long sought canister peeked from the bag.

A dutch winter scene.

 Wolverine

A few feet away another blue...peeking from the toy bin.
For fear that I might draw more attention I silently plucked it from certain solitude.

An apron is donned and the tea is whistling...
Tiny fingers hooked through the cups. Baby dolls and teddy bears tucked in behind the table. Saddle shoes and ankle socks keep the sweet hostess on her toes. This was a tea set from Christmas morning. What might be rubbish to some is pure pleasure to me.

  6. LOL...Well now I feel better! If you read my last post you'll see I feel the same way! And you said it way better than I did..."What might be rubbish to some..."
And I had to laugh about you trying to be quiet and not draw attention to yourself in the thrift store! hahah
Isn't that totally what we do???
I'm happy you found your blue little treasures!

  8. EEEEEEK! I can't believe you found that in a bin. Okay, yes I can because it happens and it is what keeps us searching. Renee, this is a top shelf score. High five!

  9. Beautiful Renee! My daughter and I were at Winners the other day and she saw a Bunny teapot, with the cream and sugar set. I talked her out of buying it, she has 3-4 other teapots, still lives at home, where am I to put all this stuff? I know, it's soo hard to decide what you need and don't need. She is having an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party in a month, so it would have been sweet, but how many teapots can a person have?

  11. NOT FAIR!!!!!!!

I'm up for putting out a motion that you not be allowed to shop anymore unless I'm with you. Dang woman, I've been in a constant state of drool when I read your blog......help, my shirt is soggy!

Okay, that was weird, but hey I'm not gonna' lie, I keep tryin' to come up with a spell or somethin' that will give me the same kind of luck out here. In fact, you're lucky I wasn't there, cause I'd probably mow you down to obtain possession of those.

Yes, I'm tired and in pain, so I'm whining. I'm really happy that someone as wonderful as you finds these things, but geez, leave some for us. This is the same kind of comment I leave for Laurie Magpie Ethel!

    Love ya'

  27. Shhhhh...did you hear it?

It was this sound that reached S. Texas...it sounded like a silly giggle with a yippee attached to it. First it was kinda quite..I wasn't sure what I was hearing...then it got really loud...and now...well it sounds like a kitty purring.

I asked the vintage angels...and they said it was a happy woman who was enjoying a special find. Awwww
like me...you hold it in in the store....then you do the dance to the car...and the sounds erupt in the car....you sing all the way home...and then you play with what you find...and you share with your girlfriends. Yep a vintage find...I thought I recognized that sound!!

I am so happy for you....just precious!!!!!
