Just looking...

The fifth grade farewell memory book has been turned in to the print shop. Two band concerts have been  attended. Golf tryouts have been started finished and teams have been made! Office parties are over and I have finally been let go of my official attending duties.

Today I had my own selfish fun at the antique mall.

Photos in mason jars...why didn't I think of this?

This is a booth I look at but don't touch.  I long for this pink table. However, at this price it is one I can only visit.

I love this booth but it overwhelms me.

Stunning pieces piled high. Most of it out of reach.

Nursery pieces galore.

Way up there on that top right shelf there is a striped umbrella.  If I can't reach it I can't buy it!

Amsco.  A name that sings to me like Ohio Art.  This is the sweetest little bottle sterilizer for dolls. Honestly, what would I do with it? Besides love it.

Somethings you just have to leave behind. Even when they are marked down. Perhaps next time it will be in my price range.

This is what I brought home.

Just  a little basket full of goodies.

Pretty pink goodies for spring.

Just in time for March Madness...a vintage Jayhawk patch. The games start Wednesday. If you would like to know how much we love our basketball around here you might find it interesting that our Spring Breaks coincide with the Tournament schedule.  Rock Chalk
Glad to be back.

It looks like you had some fun today! I like your rule, if you can't reach it, you can't buy it. I need to stick with that one. :) The vintage cards are my favorite! Too cute! :) xo Heather

Oh! I haven't been antiquing in sooooo long! Thriftin' yes, estate salin' yes, but not antiquing where everything is so charmingly displayed. Thanks for taking me along. I enjoyed it. Glad you get to have some time for yourself too! Yeah!

BTW, have I mentioned how utterly charmed I am every time I stop by? Thanks for sharing all your cuties!

Whoa - not so fast there. What's that fabric next to the Doan's Pills? And while I'm thinking of it, Doan's Pills? :-)

I am in tune with your 'selfish fun.' I *love* to wander around an antique mall and just clear my head, mingling there with the other vintage people.

Oh Renee, I am glad you got a personal inetrlude to indulge the eye candy. I know just what you mean about being overwhelmed. So many things I so love if only I could think where in the world I could put them!!

What fun Renee! I am trying to stay away from thrift stores, my house is full of treasures. I am working on a rag quilt these days, so that should keep me in for the rest of the week. Thanks for sharing, Marilyn.

oh what fun! I love the photos in the jars. a friend of mine made the neatest christmas ornaments of old photos printed on transparency sheets and cut to fit inside glass ornies.. I think it would look soo cool in old mason jars like that. I might just have to give it a try!
I'm glad you had a good day!
Im needing a day out like that soon!

Oh My Goodness that Doans Pills container brings back memories!! My grandparents had a container of that sitting on the window sill of their kitchen where they kept various and sundry items. It sat there for years! How I miss going there.

Just to change things up here, I have two sports-related comments. 1. Syracuse basketball is such a big deal here that a few years ago, when they had an amazing run during the Big East tournament, the kids went to the gym to watch the game and the school bus waited 'til it was over and 2. I'm a golf mom, too! Congrats!

Oh my goodness! thanks for all these pics, Renee! I'm lucky to find one cute baby item in the whole mall! It's a good thing I don't have a mall like that near me. I spied my train planter. that was fun. And I loved that little doll stroller with the decal. Wowza! ♥

Which antique store are these pics from? Looks like you did find several goodies to bring home with you! I think that pink shelf is calling your name... you just might have to save up for a couple of weeks and go back for it.

Why haven't I discovered your delightful blog before this? I know exactly which antique mall you were in and I totally agree about the overwhelming booth. I, too, love it but feel the same way. :) I'm looking forward to following your adventures and I want to add that you have a gorgeous blog!!
