Mending Monday--Kittens

Mending Monday, all about kittens.  This one is so cute I can see it on little pillowslips and bedspreads too.

Guppies and kittens...

I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to have a set of towels like these.

The pads on those little feet make me smile.
I miss cookie jars on the counters.

A plate full of kitten...sweet as honey for sure.

But this one seals the deal for me. That Tom and Jerry image of fun. Perfect for a pinafore. Who wouldn't want to play with that elfish mouse?

To while away the last few hours of car pool lines (the lovelies are out for summer break next Friday!  Yikes...) I have taken to stitching two sets of pattern weights. These are the brunettes.

These are the blondes. This pattern can be found in the fantastic book Zakka Style. It was originally intended to be hand warmers...but pattern weights were far more necessary.

My favorite is the kitten looking at the fish bowl! We almost lost "Ray" when our kitten knocked over his fish bowl. A quick thinking daughter saved the day. Isn't it amazing what you can accomplish while waiting and driving your lovelies? The pattern weights are a great idea!

Those kittens are absolutely adorable. You always find the best stitchings. I found a vintage kitten birthday card at an antique store this weekend. It reminds me of our kitten Luna. Emma is getting it for her birthday.

The countdown to carpool lanes must be wrapping up shortly! Yippee!!

Hi Renee, I always love the patterns you share with us. I hope to purchase fabric this Friday to make your clothespin bag - finger's crossed for sure! May I ask if you would like to do my tag swap. It needs some wonderful art, and I have one space left. Yes or No is perfectly okay, let me know. E

All the kitten designs are so cute! And what a fun idea for the pattern weights. You have a real knack for adapting things to be better than the original.
