The Laundress...

Sometimes...when I am researching...for my sewing projects I run across something on the internet that I have to have. You know the kind you see and you place it in your cart for fear someone else will see it has been listed! Oh yes that kind. Last week I found one of those finds.

The Laundress...

Beautifully stitched.

Hankie at her hand.

Clean and crisp. Like it was rarely used.

This laundress has a place to be...a project that I am currently working on. Where? In my very own laundry room. Be prepared it might take a while.

Oh how sweet! I haven't heard that word in years. My sweet Grandma was a laundress at St. Mary's Hospital in Wallawalla Washington a VERY long time ago.

Renee, I really enjoy visiting your blog and I love all those vintage illustrations of nice children. I'm a fan of old storybooks too.
