Little Red Squirrel

Wagon full of nuts and red cap on.  This little red squirrel is ready for winter.

The wonders of Whitman Publishing Co.  from 1939.

Rusty is his name. (Check out Rosa Robin's rockin' apron!)

I adore those elfish shoes and bouffant tail.

But I am most impressed with his pad and porch.

It is even dreamy on the inside.

Kind and generous morals.

Not a page left wasted.

Join me over at Corey's for another edition...

I've always loved little animal homes, so I'm enamoured of his little pad as well! So cute! I also like how all the illustrations are in red and green!

He certainly has a handsome pad and those shoes are too sweet. Such fun illustrations. I agree with Corey. I've always been intrigued with animal homes. My book selection today features a home for a mouse family. Happy weekend!

I love your posts about the vintage books. Between you and Kim, the two of you are winning me over. (It didn't take much because I have always loved vintage children's books. I have quite a collection from my childhood already circa 1960s and 70s.) One of my favorites is a collection of children's stories. It has such beautiful illustrations...That book was well loved and read.

I hope you have a wonderful week!
