Herringbones and Bears

With our little series with Jerry and his little seeds that grew is over...I am back to scanning in some cards. Which reminds me of the pathetic assortment I had to pick from for Father's Day this year.  Unbelievable how these graphics and generic sentiments make it to the market when in years past such sweet choices were at every corner store!

My first attempt at the herringbone stitch...I am in love. The pink thread was far to bright. I whipped right through this in no time and will certainly be using this again soon.

It has been far too long since I have done a pillow. The little details have always been my favorite.

Small nursery pillow with an envelope closure.

Sweet fabric from my favorite shop...Sew Deerly Loved.

Just the right size for the littlest of bears or maybe even Goldilocks.

I know this is a dumb question, but did your fancy machine do the herring bone, or did you do it by hand? My guess is YOU. But I just need to check, because it looks so perfect. :)
It couldn't be any cuter!

Oh my goodness! It's hard to say which side is cuter, the front or the back!! Super cute little embellishments on the back!

Why am I so lazy? Renee, you amaze me everyday. Now I have to think about making my pillows cute on the back...thank you very much! =D
Seriously, I am glad to have someone to look up to...to raise the bar...to encourage us all to do a bit better in all aspects of our lives.

That is one sweet pillow! You're so right about Father's Day cards ... why is it so hard to find one that's any good?

The herringbone stitch is a wonderful accent. I love the pillow. I hope it's ok that I mentioned your blog in my blog. I showed my little stitch project and wanted to mention where I got the cute patterns. I was so happy to have something fun to work on in the hotel at night.Have a fun making pillows!

I LOVE that pillow- the herringbone stitch really makes it! So, so cute!

And you give me too much credit for Avery's quilt! The embroidery piece didn't have any backing or anything on it, so I just viewed it like a piece of printed fabric to be added onto, you know what I mean? Regardless, thanks for your praise- ha ha!
