Be a lamb...

I grew up in the days of umbrella strollers. Just after the heyday of prams. Right into the miserable plastic and vinyl convenience of mustard and avocado. Lucky for me I have been gifted with an old soul. Something I have heard far too many times. My old soul has always longed for a "real" stroller. The kind you would see a little girl happily prance up and down the street with.

...and there she was...

All dressed up in the finest Ohio Art lithograph.

A little lamb dancing in the clover.

With nary a scratch.

Wooden beads still neatly painted.

Spoke tin wheels polished like new.

A prize toy ready for a grown up girl.

Yep...Claire and I took it for a spin around the room.
Now, I am off to find just the right baby items to fit in this treasure.

Aww so sweet! There is just something about little lambs. :-) It would look really cute with a potted plant in it too.

That's so sweet - and looks like it's in perfect condition too! I have a Teddy Bear who'd love to go for a ride in it :)

Renee, I am beyond happy that this stroller has come to live in your craft room. A more deserving grown up girl there couldn't be. My husband was lucky enough to have grown up with a real stroller like this one. Gotta love the 40's! Thanks for sharing! E

GET OUT!!!! First I saw the "Ohio Art" logo, and I got a little nervous because I knew it was going to be something that would be so darn cute, and I would want it BAD! My heart's beating fast!
I guess that does it then...you bought the cutest thing that there is! HaHa!

I spy the cutest little dolly stroller...and, it belongs to one of my sweet blogging friends!
Oh, Renee...You have added such a cute touch to your already incredible sewing room...How I love the pink and blue! Many of my toys in the 50s were of this same vintage. How I wish I still had some of them...Unfortunately, my two little twin sisters inherited them and they didn't survive!
I hope you are staying cool with a a bit milder weather!
Big hugzzzz,
Carolynn xo

Oh, just, just beautiful!!! I love the little lamb! I found a similar style stroller (with graphics that weren't nearly as cute) for only $16 at an antique store. I was so excited about my great find that I didn't realize until I got home that it was missing the 2 back wheels!! It's still cute for display though!

Thank goodness I read all the way through my blog list or I would have missed this! It is perfect and wonderful. And whatever doll you find will need a dress to match the stroller. Maybe a hat. And a quilt.
