Sewing Christmas--Upside down

My ducks are grumpy...you will see!

This month I was excited to start my Sewing Christmas project on time.  I was late last month because of the Angry Birds, remember?

Vintage trim, mixed with vintage fabric.

Lonely earring epoxied to an old brass button.

Pattern picked from my Janelle Wind collection.

This sweet gadget/phone holder turned out picture perfect...until I realized my duck pattern was upside down!  This linen fabric is too delicate to pull the stitching out.  Looks like I just gifted myself.  Another one will be turned out soon. This was a fantastic pattern to sew and simple to use my scraps on.
I think it would be best if I stayed away from aviary for a while.
Join me over at Sewn with Grace for this months Sewing Christmas.

You can barely tell the ducks are swimming upside down. It's just lovely. That earring adds the perfect touch.

PS. I'm sneaking in your blog before I head home from the University. I will have to clear the snow off...sigh.

LOL - sounds like something I would do! I love what you did with the earring and button for the closure.

You know I did this once myself making a little purse, put the fabric upside down on the inside flap. The phone holder is really cute with the hand made lace on there.

This is just beautiful and if you really aren't happy with the "mistake" then I would be happy to take that off your hands. We are too hard on ourselves. I still can't see what you mean! I love it! :)

If you wanna sell it....I've got first dibs. By the way...that little picture of the duckie is just the cutest. Wouldn't it make a cute picture to put on a little child's pillowcase for those nights when they just don't want to go bed?
I'm serious about buying that phone cover!
