May Homemaker Tag

My calendar says it is May...and surprise, surprise, Mother Nature is agreeing.  I am determined to finish this tag along.  My partner Miss Betty is keeping me honest as she will be the recipient.  This month is an easy one for me.  My garden is growing quite strong with all the rain and sun.  The theme of nursery rhyme brings Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary this month.

I remembered to change the calendar in the studio.  It was easy to remember when sweet Daisy came along.  She is the newest member of my spun head collection.  I know you have heard me profess my love of these vintage creations, but let me tell you how sweet the simplicity of these are.  Honestly the smile of my day.  Miss Daisy is sitting on my desk this month.  I am currently looking to add to my shelving....this is a collection you will thank me for...thanks Magpie Ethel!

Mary has a sunshine button shining brightly on her.

I have yet to figure out my camera settings.  Why one is dark and one is light?  I have poor lighting in my studio.  I am not a flash lover, but I am not yet ready to dive into a dslr camera either.  It is such a heavy ordeal to carry around.  Maybe Christmas.

Another plastic daisy via estate sale and some bump chenille.  I am in heaven with this stuff.  Even my daughter loves it.  The vintage kind is much smoother to work with.  Some sweet yellow birds and pink ink wrap her up.  Notice I ran out of pink paper.  Not to worry, I think I have made it out of the pastel months.

Left over wire from vintage millinery flowers are used to make my hangers.  Every last little scrap has been saved.  Not even to the half way point yet.

Another look at this sweet Magpie creation.  Twisted chenille, wooden bird, plastic trellis...it is almost as good as going to an estate sale with her...almost!

All your little details are so sweet in your tags. I'm loving the plastic daisy and plump chenille stems. Magpie's creations are definitely inspirational too. That plastic trellis is just delightful. I want to be in your back pocket at your next estate sale when you find more goodies.

I always love your top photo that shows up in the blog rolls. Where do you find those are they book illustrations I would think?
Your tag is just darling. I don't have a partner as after the first tag I seemed to only make one.

So happy that my creations make you happy...you don't know how much I enjoy making them. I love to add all those vintage tidbits that I find...a new life for them.
Your tags are adorable and love the bump chenille detail - the old bump chenille is my favorite (as you well know!)
happy day
