I can see clearly now...

After hours of research and mental anguish I gave in and bought the big camera...and I like it so far.  It is like someone lifted the haze from the photos.  I spent so much time cleaning the pictures up in iPhoto and Photoshop that I didn't know what to do when I uploaded the new ones today and they needed nothing.    After finding the best price online I headed to the big box store today and they gladly matched it.

I really think they make their money in these lenses.  The one that came with the camera was said to be no good.  I however love it after a day.  The additional lenses that was bundled with the camera is nice as well but doesn't zoom.  It is for distance shots.

Goodbye point and shoot.  I will miss your convenience and small light weight handling.  But your shots just don't give me the clarity I need.

This big boy came with a backpack.  Really...guess I am going to have to get one of those nifty designer bags now.  The man bag as I have named it is a bit much for me.  I still need to decorate the camera strap.  That insures that no male figure in my household picks the camera and uses it!

A much clearer shot of the felt ornaments.

Sweet Mr. Reagan was so kind to let me test my new camera skills over and over.

Lovely new felt flowers and leaves all the way from Europe via Etsy.  Perfect for pincushions and hair bows.  I couldn't pass up the colors and shapes.  You can find them here.

The kids and I have been playing a new game...Sequence.  It combines cards and a board game.  We are having a ball trying to beat each other every night.  As we wind down the summer and get back into the swing it has been great in the evenings to sit around the table and just BE.

On another note it appears that we are having a Photobucket issue related to Happy Loves Rosie blogs.  I am sure that she will be fixing this as soon as she can.  I must admit it is not my favorite background.
We can't have it all just perfect Wally!

Ooooh, it's new and shiiiiny. Does it have that new car smell?

Thank you for pointing out to me how spoiled I am with my big ol' Sony. I shall not complain about lugging it around, since the photos come out only needing cropping.

Waaiit, you mean I'm not really that great of a photographer, it's really the camera?!

Congratulations on your new camera. I long for the day when I can graduate to a digital SLR. I think I need to get a dsgree first though. Mr. Reagan has amazing eyes.
Happy snapping!

How fun to have a new "toy" to play with! Someday when I'm ready for a new camera, I will know who to come to for advice. I love how your ornaments turned out. Elizabeth makes the cutest things!

oooh I'm with you - I've recently upgraded to a big boy! I'm loving the photos but not loving the carrying - it feels SO cumbersome!
I too need a new bag - the ugly black one that came with it is the total antithesis of beautiful!

I'm experiencing camera envy right now! I'm happy with my new one, because it's small enough to throw in my purse, which is what I wanted, and takes much better pictures than my old one. But one day, I'd love to have one that takes great pictures. Oh, and I love your idea for ensuring that no one borrows your camera!
