Not too Trendy...

While Mother Nature is trying to figure out what season she wants to settle on...I am busy putting layers on and peeling them off.  Capri's have been the only answer I can come up with, although my feet still get cold.  Soon it will too hot!  Last seasons carpi's are languishing in my closet.  They were never comfortable.  I am a walking Gap ad from the 80's.  Khaki, denim, white t-shirt kinda gal.  I don't do trendy.  It is against my rules...a code I swear by.  No bling on my jeans...

Unless its patchwork and shaped like hexagons!  Scraps of Japanese linen fabric bring a punch of color and fun to a pair of denim carpi's.  All the work was hand sewn and then fixed to the jeans with thermo-o-web and I held down at the edges with embroidery floss and blanket stitching.

Paired with a white t-shirt and brown cardigan I stayed right in my comfort zone and out of the trend.

Orthopedic shoes too...that's what my BF calls these.  She just could not believe it when I bought them.  I told her that's why I love her.  I wear them every time we shop together...I am past the days of fashion and well into the days of comfort.

Your jeans are so darn charming. And your shoes aren't pretty cute too. I'm all about comfort.
PS. I actually had to dig out boots and snowpants for Josie's preschool yesterday. YUCK!

If those shoes are orthopedic I do not even want to know what she would say about my shoes. LOL

cute patch on the pants. Your orthopedic shoe comment cracked me up...I have orthodics in my shoes(flat feet issues) and have to wear only certain types of shoes to fit them...my daughter hopes that she won't inherit my feet!

Hmm - those shoes look pretty cute to me. And nothing wrong with orthotics - love them! They're my little secret.

Well, not any more.

I think we share the same closet! That is exactly what I wore yesterday :) But I don't have that cute hexagon patch. Yet... I think it is just a perfect touch!
