The White River located in northern Arkansas became our playground this year. It is a dreamy river that changes from shallow to deep depending on the electrical needs (power plant). The first 2 days were very deep and the last 2 days were so shallow we could almost cross it at some points.
My daughter spent most of her time wading in the rocky shore line with the local dog Buddy. He would fetch stick after stick for hours on end.
The boys spent a day with a fishing guide and brought in more than enough fish to make trip successful.
One big happy family back from a spring break full of fun and sun and fishing. We are well rested with a belly full of rainbow trout. Enough even for the local dog Buddy!
Not to worry, I did stop at many antique shops and flea markets. There are some treasure posts coming soon...I think I was the only one who missed the internet!

Wonderful respite-beautiful family!
Welcome home. Look forward to see your treasures!
Looking at you folks in this country scene me thinks you need to come up here and stay in any of our guest quarters and see some really spectacular scenery. Not that yours was not but really it's tough to beat Alaska for beauty. Alas it does cost a bundle just to fly up here that's a drawback.
Beautiful pictures. Sounds like a heavenly vacation and many fun family memories were made. I missed your posts and can't wait to see your goodies.
Welcome back!! I haven't been on a fishing trip in a long, long time. It looks like you all had fun!
I am so happy that other people find my Arkansas as beautiful as I do. I'm in Fayetteville, so you weren't too far away. It's funny, because on OUR vacation - we are headed to Kansas! :)
How I miss that part of the world!!!!
