Clean lines and utilitarian use...I love enamelware. Although, after seeing other collections, it appears that I gravitate towards the very simple variety. Some of my pieces were used for photo development, some for casseroles, potties, fruit or flour and others for leftovers. Either way, I can always find a use for them around my house. They are incredibly cheap at estate sales....at least in this part of the country.
Sliding them under dressers in my studio help keep ongoing projects neatly tucked away.
Empty ones on my desk for clutter control. I often use these to house projects that I move from one area to another. The larger one is great to work in...paint, glitter, etc. Containment is key.
Crisp and clean, these hold fabric scraps, pelon, and fat quarters. It is easier to create when I can see what I have to create with.
Old refrigerator containers work fantastic in drawers. These are getting harder and harder to find.
A rare colored one in my collection. I couldn't pass it up. I have a large white one of these with a red rim that holds all my Christmas books.
Perfect trash bin. The top is being stored for now. I have a thing about plastic trash bins. I know I have a lot of things about things...my family could write a book...me and my isms...but is this not a better looking trash bin?

Last, but not least a child bed pan. This is our cats water bowl. He refuses to drink with the dogs. Understandable. I kept looking for a nice metal bowl that would keep his water cool. I stumbled on this at a flea market. Yes, I washed it. He comes running when he hears it clink on the side of the sink...he has isms too! Either way I find these better than a plastic bin any day.

Love your enamelware. I have one large baking pan from my mother. I use it all the time, not only for baking (stuffed cabbage casserole) but also to hold cupcakes, fabric, anything I need to cart from place to place.
I never pass by enamelware if the price is right either. I have alot of it in my studio (the black and white...usually my estate sale finds photos on Friday have some of the goodies contained on trays). I do have a small collection of PINK which I love!
Of course I never see this here. I love all the uses you have found for this enamelware very clever.
You are so creative with your how you use and display your enamelware. Between you and Magpie Ethel , I'm getting my collection FIX.

What a wonderful and useful collection!! Your enamelware pans are so much better than plastic!! I need to de-platicise (is that a word?) my house... as in get rid of any remaining pieces.
We also love enamelware. Hopefully will find a few nice pieces for our future sewing room.
I have a lot of these piece too including a pink girl's chamber pot and a blue boy's chamber pot - too cute! I have actually found a lot of my more dinged up pieces in old dump sites - free for the taking. I plant flowers in them - they already have the drain holes in them! ;o)
Love your enamel ware and what great ideas. I love enamel ware too your are right I feel like it is getting harder to find.

Hi! I came over from Nan's blog. Ohhhh....I love how you put those enamel pans to such good use! I love 'em, too. I especially love the brighter blue ones.....they are hard to find at a good price in our area. I sure get excited when I find one!

LOL Well it is perfectly logical that the cat would use a bed pan to drink from. Kind of like pets and toilet bowls. You have a lovely collection of enamelware. I hardly run across it in this area. Don't know what is up with these Michiganders! They must have tossed all the good stuff in the dumps! So sad.
you have a wonderful collection! my collection i mainly received from both of my grandmothers which makes it even that much more special.
