A darling vintage image from my Rock A Bye Baby Rand McNally Junior Elf book. Peter pan collar on mom. Little blue and white ball knobs on the cradle. Seemingly perfect in every way. Right down to the nail polish on mom's nails.
This sweet jumper was found at an estate sale some time ago and I have been waiting to re purpose it. I didn't find a label inside. It appears to be hand made. The fabric reads Fuzzy Wuzzy with darling bears in pink bows surrounded by buzzing bees.
Because of the small amount of fabric I had to get creative. Which means add more vintage fabric.
I couldn't resist adding the tiny baby gingham trim.
It hurt me to hack off the bib portion...until I realized it could work on the pillow too!
Still thinking about adding some stitching to that pink block with the bear applique to say fuzzy wuzzy? Over all it is just really sweet.
On the back I added a strap from the jumper and the bib and buttons for the closure.
I am happy to be able to see that sweet print on a pillow rather than hanging on a hanger or folded in a drawer. Another darling nursery treasure to join the growing collection.

Renee,
I continue to be amazed by what you put together. Everything you create is just so vintage cute!
ohh look at the back!!! How Darling!!
Whenever your ready my dear!!! You should star thinking of what you want :)
Adorable as usual girlfriend. I tend to recite the Fuzzy Wuzzy poem a lot lately. My mom's dog is staying with us, too, and for some reason he makes me think of that little ditty. Okay, how much for the elephant?????? I just got paid.......how many millions? I'm sure if given the chance to come to your home, I'd better bring a moving van to take everything I like home with me!
Love ya'
Meri
So sweet and I am so impressed that you not only see the potential but you follow through and make the vision. Bravo!! Love it!
Oh that pillow is just too cute and I love the elephant he is the sweetest thing.
How wonderful that you could take such a darling outfit and turn it into something so sweet and unique. Another winner, Renee.
That little pink cradle is so sweet but yes so is the pillow and the little ele makes it complete! ♥
Kim I have to introduce you to another person who is absolutely crazy about making pillows. You can find her on my sidebar, Joy's Thoughts and Things. She is a sewer and has the MOST fabulous home. She hasn't posted in ages, but I just know you will absolutely love going through her previous posts. There aren't too many.
Between the two of you, I am going to be making pillows before I know it! I admire my Ohio pillow every time I come into my computer room - which is often! Have a great day! Elizabeth
I loved the front but when you flipped to the back, I was truly in AWE! So sweet and beautiful. The "Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear" reminded me of the soap my mom would buy us when we were little.
Oh those things are so sweet. I love them all, the book, the apron, the pillows, and the elephant. I so enjoy visiting your blog. Thank you for sharing it all with us!
Julie
Oh, Renee...you always find the most wonderful vintage treasures! Love the pillow you made--and you're right--so much better to use our finds and not just leave them in a drawer--beautifully done!
Julie
you are too clever!
Think you'll like the blocks over at mine today - building up to making yours!!!
