There was an errand that had to be done on the other side of town. I had been putting it off all summer. Today I lumped it in with a visit to a local flea market and oh boy what a treat. I had a ball finding things I haven't seen before. Others that I had drooled over for sometime that were perfectly priced.
Just a glimpse at the goodies. I didn't mean to keep you in the dark. I am excited to have another set of those pillowcases. That's 3 in different colors. I can see that apron already.
Nursery hamper......with decal. Be still my heart.
Paper label still inside. How many sweet dresses did this see? I am sure it never saw a pamper.
I nearly had a panic attack getting to these. Pin ups in the original box. Can you believe I left one behind. I hope I sleep tonight. The box alone is worth it.
Bo Peep and her sheep sharing tears...no that patch on her skirt doesn't bother me at all.
Nothing a bit of vintage lace can't hide. How long before I go back and get Jack be Nimble?
A complete desk set of Dennison books. I made the fatal mistake when I saw the tag. "Is that the price for all of them?" As it came out I nearly shriveled. The owner smiled and snickered "Yep, that's what he priced them at!" My reward.
Most of them still full of the original packaging.
There on the bottom shelf again...what a treasure. An Irmi wall hanging. Fully caked in years of dirt and dust I had to get the q-tips after it. Treasure for sure.
This is the image I found on the cellophane bag today. Those old candy bags are truly a thing of the past now. Can you imagine handing out candy out of a wrapper? Or even a popcorn ball with nuts!
Thanks for all the sweet comments about my Halloween Haunted House. I am hoping to just run across a pattern one day. You know like I do say my Irmi. It seemed laughable to me that I hadn't run across one yet! Off to a sale in the morning and more crepe paper in the afternoon between all the mothering and such...

What wonderful treasures, I know about having to the q-tips into those little nicks and cranny's but it is always worth the effort! Hugs, Diane
Glad the errand provided a welcome distraction! I have never seen an Irmi wall hanging and how perfect for you to discover!
What fun finds! I think I love the blue birds with the pink fence and home! So so cute!
Carly
Oh my goodness, Renee, you are ONE lucky girl!!! I NEVER find treasures like that when I'm out & about! Love each and every little thing you took home--wow!
Wishing you so much fun as you find the most perfect spot in your home for each precious piece...
Julie
Yippee! Your finds are just delightful!! How nice that errand could turn into so many fun acquisitions!! I found my first Irmi light switch this summer and immediately thought of you.
So did you say you were out shopping and found all these things for me????? LOL I wish, geez woman, how am I ever gonna' catch up when there's hardly anything out here to buy and the stuff that's something costs almost as much as a house payment! I suppose I could move out there...yeah, that's the ticket....not! I'll just have to keep drooling over all you lucky ladies out there in blogland where estate sales and flea markets actually have good stuff. Would you like to start collecting old saddles, barbed wire and copies upon copies of Arizona Highways magazines???? Come on over, I can set you up big time!
Love ya'
Meri
LOVE your little halloween houses and the one on the left is my favorite!
LOVE the vintage goodie bags too! I'm not shopping for awhile :( Glad you are!
Warmly,
deb
Wow, you scored. Love love that Irmi. You had a good day.
I just saw that you had my button. Thank you.
I think you picked the right place to shop! I especially love the little hamper with the blue lamb on it!
The work you did on Little Po Peep came out so good. That Dennison find I have never seen them presented this way in a set. The Irmi is so sweet lucky you to find all these great things.
Funny - I too keep the q-tips close at hand. Someday I hope to see some of those Dennison books in person and I've never seen an Irmi piece like the one you found. Score!
Oooh, the Irmi plaque is so darn sweet. Yep, the good ole days of Halloween..well, I never did like getting apples from the neighborhood...we had our own apple tree.
What wonderful finds...Lovely things..
I'm about to get in my car and drive straight to your house so we can go shopping together. You are a thrifter after my own heart!
I'm with her, I'm getting in my car too! I just can't believe the things you find! I saw your craft room on Keren's site, Free Pretty Things, and almost started drooling. Oh my goodness. So so so beautiful. I just love it! Good job. We're taking a little trip today for the weekend, and I SO hope I find such wonderful treasures.
Julie
Oh my! We would so be fighting over things if we shoped together! My eyes popped out of my head when I saw that Irmi wall hanging!!!! I'm happy for you, Renee! ♥
you find such fab stuff!!!
(where do you put it all?)
Anyway - of COURSE I'd be able to send you stuff to the US. Unfortunatly, since my medium of choice is wood (curse that choice) and tend to work with solid birch it's not always as cheap as I'd like it to be. However, I'm at the PO amnost daily so if you ever fancy something I could get a postage cost first beforehand?
take a look at my flickr (in a spare moment!)and give me an idea.

There are little blocks too, much lighter.

I meant the postage wasn't as cheap!
I'll always do a better selling price than on my shop for my pals as I don't need to pay commission (27%!) when I sell directly.
Right, I'll shut up now!
