Houses

Smiles persist throughout the day when I find flecks of glitter on my clothes and if I am lucky on my face.  How can you not be happy?  I have been working on several Christmas crafts.  Mixing vintage Christmas trims and images with new scrapbook paper is always a bit of a challenge for me.  One that I look forward to.

Houses for Miss Cindy's Ornament swap.  I cut out the house template from the back of an old broken picture frame.  My images are scans from vintage Christmas package tags.

Roofing from paper hexagon pieces.

Old pipe cleaners to hang bells from.

Snow glue for dimension.

Red glitter for edge trim.

Plastic holly and white splatter paint for snowflakes finish them off.

Every house has a door and mine is no different.  Perfectly appointed with a house sign and the year.

Packaging counts and they are bundled just so.

Holly leaves tied up with a bow.  I couldn't help but add some of the vintage seals newly found at an estate sale.  Glitter must have a magical quality that just makes people.  These have been magical to make.

Renee, Thank you so much for posting your "house tags". I am participating in the house swap too and have been struggling with what to do. I have been feeling the pressure to come up with something really terrific. All the participants are soooo creative, and I'm such a newbie! I have made two different models of houses and now feel a lot more comfortable!! Can't wait to get mine in the mail!!

Oh what a treasure to receive one of your creations. They will be surely blessed! I think everything needs a bit of glitter (or sprinkles!). Happy Creating!

I'm also in the house exchange. I wasn't able to wrap my houses like you did...mine needed to be in bubble wrap. Will that count against me? I am a newbie, so I am full of insecurities. =D

Love, love, love these! I figure I know it's Christmas when I spot glitter on THE HUSBAND'S face. I don't tell him it's there - hehe!

Oh, Renee...all so prefectly perfect as they are sent on their way to their lucky new homes...love those glittery roofs!

How generous of you to share your vintage Christmas seals! I would expect nothing less from you, though...!

Hope your day is beautiful all the way through...with a liberal sprinkling of glitter on your cheeks, of course (my favorite thing, too!)
