Santa's Coloring Book

Whitman-O-Whitman how I do love your coloring books.  Cute and colorful.  A Christmas edition to keep little hands busy.  The graphics clean with geometric 1950's flair.  Nearly every page uncolored.

All the elves ride candy cane horses.

Jack Frost nipping at his own nose?

Knee deep in the snow singing carols so sweetly.

Frosty as merry as neighbors could be.
Meet me over at Corey's for another week of...

Whitman coloring books were the best! When my daddy did the grocery shopping he would always let me buy a new coloring book! I would spend all weekend coloring! Now my girls still have to color at Christmas! Love the Jack Frost nipping at his nose one!

Oh goodness, I love them, too, Renee! There's nothing quite like that old style, is there?! Think I need to do some scouting-out for some of those!

Thanks so much for your visit and sweet comment yesterday...it's so wonderful to find kindred spirits here in Blogland, and you definitely ARE one to me--we really should have been sisters!

I always love what you share...you hit the nostalgic nail-on-the-head for me every time, dear friend!

Sweet! I loved coloring and activity books when I was little! I actually used to design my own.

Come by today if you get a chance. I posted about my "new" Christmas hutch! ♥

Oh how I love coloring books! I especially covet your Elf one! Last year for Christmas my husband gave me the BIGGEST box of crayons he could find! I loved them! Oh yeah, still a kid at heart even thought I'm 50!

I love everything about Whitman - the pictures, the weight of the paper, the way the edges age just a little. This one is very sweet.

Darling coloring book. Oh, how I wish I had all my coloring books growing up in the 60s...we had a lot and we colored all the time. Every once in a while I take my kid's coloring books and color a page - it is relaxing. I wonder if that is why I took to embroidery...it is like coloring pictures.

Gorgeous! I even love that old style paper, you know the kind that kind of absorbed the colour rather than being crisp and white and the colour sitting on top.
I wish I had kept some of my old colouring books *sigh*

What a great coloring book even better that the pages have not been colored.

There's no need to spend a lot of money to find fun activities for children. Free coloring pages can keep children busy for hours or even days.
