It has been far too long since my last bib apron. This one has been bouncing around in my head since I found a set of pillowcases.
A bib that almost didn't make it. I stitched and restitched this bib trying to get it not to overpower the skirt. Simple hexagons on white linen finally worked.
These vintage feed sack pillowcases are so beautiful I had to make them the focal point.
I highlighted the hexagon flower with a vintage linen embroidery. Simple fabric covered buttons camouflage hidden snaps.
A wrap around bow in three of the different pillowcase fabrics complete the feminine look.
Dainty darts in the bib bodice keep this design delicate. A sweet take on my Apronology apron.

Unless one has in their possession one of your apron creations they have no idea the details that are added to give it so much substance. These are certainly not quick sews!
