Stacked

Aging gracefully means fully accepting you are not in control of every single thing.

Perhaps part of it is not getting wound up over every minor detail?

Knowing perfection is part completion.

Trying things that before have been dismal failures.

With a set of reading glasses have become very triumphant.

No, it's not worthy of quilt shows.

But these tiny quilt blocks are mere stepping stones for me.

I love your choice of pattern and colors. The spools make me thing of my Mom who was a seamstress, working from home. I remember her sitting at her machine each day working hard to complete the outfits women consigned her to make. What a legacy she left me.

It is beautiful Renee! And you are not alone in that "long arm" vision. I got the reading glasses when I noticed they stopped putting a hole in sewing machine needles. I just kind of stabbed in the general direction and hoped it would go through. Reading glasses rocked my world!

Renee,
Yes, keep going...just beautiful! Perfection is an illusion that stops all of us in our tracks, ban it from your craft room! I am getting better at letting it go and keeping it at bay.....
I love how the quilt looks like pretty little spools of thread!

I love these blocks - especially how the little center one really showcases a special print. I spend half of my day looking for my glasses, usually only to realize I pushed them up headband-style on my head ... sigh.
