Adjustments were made. Too many to count. That's okay, I am glad I did it in the end.
Iron on applique instead of turned under.
Pinned in place for hand quilting just as soon as my tendinitis lets up.
This Pam Kitty fabric is so beautiful. Such a nice heavy cotton. The back is just as sweet as the front.
With quilting there are so many places to make mistakes. All of them are so obvious to me. Lessons learned in cutting and pinning. The best lesson learned...always try.

Don't the Amish purposely leave an obvious flaw in each quilt...because only God is perfect? It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful...and the process to be enjoyable. I made quilts for 17 years and each one had many flaws. =D Your color choices are bright and cheerful!

What mistakes? It looks wonderful to me! You know what they say about quilts and mistakes? if you can't see the imperfection from the back of a horse going 40 miles an hour at midnight, then it doesn't matter. :-)

This is lovely, and nothing wrong with taking the easier or less desirable route. With your talent, everything is always wondrous anyhoo!
If you haven't heard, using a paraffin wax dip is sometimes helpful for tendonitis. A lot of physical therapists use them specifically for this reason. You can even get your own home variety through some medical supply stores. It's not recommended to use a homemade version of a crockpot as it doesn't have the same heat control and you could end up hurting yourself or worse.
