Fisher Pricing

After a month or so of avoiding the thrift stores, it has finally paid off. My friend Kathy of Klueless said  my bad luck was gone and out of the way. She was right! I followed my rule of not getting a cart for fear it would not fill up. Yes, I must look like a fool juggling all my goods to the register...but I was a happy fool!

Not the plethora of Magpie Ethel, nor the distinction of Oodles and Oodles but the pleasure was all mine.

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to find all the Whitman card packs tucked in a Tupperware bin. The Fuzzy Wuzzy Puzzle made Miss Claire smile. Price for those dear Whitman's...a cool .25 cents.

I have never seen the Uno Phonics Game before. The graphics are delightful.

Alright...I am not a Pyrex girl couldn't tell you why? But really who could pass this shade of blue? I will spare you the price. I make snowflake cookies at Christmas that will look great in this. A real glass baster mint in the can. Say no more.

This is what made the day. You all might remember my Christmas ornament. Now I have my very own real life house. Worse for the wear but it is circa 1969.

I swear this is Mrs. Brady.

She is wooden.

Sure there is a little bit of water damage but this is a memory that is tangible. I remember the ting of the bell. Snoopy's dog house on the back. The vine of roses on the fireplace. Always wondering what went in the door under the stairs? It brought a smile to my face seeing all the resemblances to my own home of today. Maybe it is okay for little girls to dream!

That Fisher Price house is CUTE LOOT for sure! I can see you opening the door to make the bell ring! Isn't it fun to say "Just what I always wanted" and mean it!

Oh I love that doll house Renee just darling I would have grabbed that too just because. I had that Author's card game as a kid, or was it my kids that had it?

What a haul Renee! I played with the fisher price doll house and found one of those a few years back and had to buy it just because it brought back so many good memories playing with it. Love it!

Great job Renee! I never grab a cart or basket when I walk into the thrift store. It's a mind game that I play with myself! lol
I don't want to be greedy and assume that I'm going to find tons of great things!
I love your house, cards, pyrex...everything!!! :)

You brought home some great finds! Love the Whitman cards, and the pretty Pyrex! I only have one in my collection, because I know I am moving this year, and do not want to be packing it all up! ;) The dollhouse is awesome! Yay, for you!! ;) xo Heather

Wow, just wow! What a stash you found! I've never been that lucky all on one day! The fact that the dolls and furniture were still with the FP house is amazing. But that Kitty puzzle- I'm swooning over here!!

Jack Pot!!! You found my pattern Pyrex! I collect the aqua with the snowflakes. Erica at Golden Egg Vintage and I were just "talking" about it yesterday! I am so glad you found your little house. I still have the metal one from my childhood though it is being stored in our barn. And that reminds me, I think I'll send Dear son up to get it!!

Blessings

You had a good day out there. I love the flashcards, but be still my heart. The Fisher Price-wow. I love all FP little people(that's what my boys called them). We saved all of their FP toys. I love that you found that thrifting. You GO Girl!

Always a good day when a thrifting dry spell comes to an end! And I too am a little superstitious about not using a shopping cart...I'm thrilled to go back and get one if I find enough to fill it.

Oh Renee, I ADORE the little Fisher Price doll house!! Had to laugh - I do the same thing with the shopping cart and even the baskets they hand out at estate sales. No thank you until I find myself lugging around some old basket or trash can I pressed into service when my arms got full.

You found "Authors!" That game is how I learned my "who wrote what" trivia. My mother bought it to amuse me when I was home sick with chicken pox. I'm glad I'm not the only one who refuses to get a cart because it will "jinx" me! =D

Oh, I had that house too and spent hours and hours playing with it with my little brother!

And, I, too, am a member of the Cart-Jinx club.
