Dishtowel used to be accessories for the kitchen. A beautiful way to get through a chore. Now I am not even sure if they are meant to be seen? These are the kind of linens I search out and hunger for. The depth of their color and their design are so dramatic.
A recent Etsy find. The towels...not the birds.
From the print to the border...I see potential!
And to think there is double print. One on each end of the towel.
Two pillows.
Two aprons.
Two bags.
Even I would have volunteered to dry the dishes with these beauties.

Oh my gosh! I can't wait to see what you do with these. How lucky are we that there were women who treasures and saved these beautiful things and eBay and Etsy where we can find them and give them a new life!
I'm never seen those little gadgets, very colorful and handy.
They're all lovely but particularly the yellow and grey one. I love the simple graphic design and the shadow detail.
Happy Spring Renee! I have so enjoyed visiting every past post and all the wonderful vintage you share. I have missed you so! Elizabeth

Living in the RV I am using more dish towels than when I was in the house. I love them. I try to find the vintage ones..even in rough shape...they are great for drying!!
I also love to look out my little window and see them drying on a rack I have outside...I get a mmmm in my soul.

Those are so pretty, dee x
I love old dishtowels. I have a bunch of my mom's from the 50's, and search them out at thrift & antique stores. I use them all the time; they're better than the ones I've bought new.
Looking forward to seeing the treasures you make from them.
What a sweet little thing, very colorful and delicate! Beautiful.
hugs
